SightMark is a mobile app designed to help travelers and discover meaningful locations through map exploration, social discovery, and saved planning tools.
Users can explore places on an interactive map, browse a curated discovery feed, and save locations for future trips.

Many travel apps focus heavily on searching for specific places, but they do not support the exploratory way people often discover destinations.
Key Challenges:
• Users struggle to discover interesting locations organically
• Map tools can feel cluttered or difficult to navigate
• Saving and organizing locations is inconsistent across apps
• Discovery features rarely connect seamlessly with map exploration
Design Challenge:
How might we create a travel discovery experience that allows users to explore locations visually, move easily between discovery and map exploration, and save places for future planning?

Understanding the User Journey:
Mapping the user journey helped identify how users move from discovering a place to saving it for later.
Key Flow:
1. User opens the discovery feed
2. Selects a location card
3. Views location details
4. Decides whether to save the location
5. Explores nearby locations on the map
This Journey map helped highlight key drop-off points and usability challenges across the experience.


I designed a solution that integrates discovery, exploration, and planning into one cohesive experience.
